Department Head

Dean Gustafson, CPD

Dean has over 21 years experience in the design of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems. In 1975 Dean worked for Hutchinson Homes in the land development department and went on to become a superintendent. Following graduation from Arapahoe Community College in 1980, and while continuing to work in the land development industry, he started a part time career in engineering with McFall-Konkel Consulting Engineers. In 1989 Dean made the full time transition into the engineering industry and became a plumbing designer for Cator, Ruma & Associates Consulting Engineers. He joined BCER Engineering in 1998 and was elected Associate in 2004. Dean manages the plumbing department for BCER and specializes in the design of medical and laboratory systems as well as specialized water and wastewater systems.
