Energy and Sustainable Design
Throughout the years, BCER has developed a lengthy and distinguished history of providing our clients with financially responsible solutions to complex building design issues, energy management and system performance problems. With a combined and coordinated effort between our project engineers and our energy and sustainable design department, BCER incorporates sustainable strategies into many project types with a focus in the five key areas of environmentally conscious design; sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality.
Director of Energy and Sustainable Design, Mr. Jerry Kiel, P.E., LEED AP, has accumulated over 36 years of energy management and mechanical design experience. Many other LEED accredited professionals support Jerry along with a host of talented mechanical and electrical project engineers with demonstrated expertise in energy management and sustainable design.
We find that every project brings with it unique challenges, problems and opportunities. BCER employs cutting edge software tools such as Trane Trace, Carrier E-20, Building Information Modeling, BIM software and the ANSYS-Air Pack Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis programs to assist in the design of innovative solutions. We strive to find original solutions using a blend of our vast experience with new technologies and creative thinking.
